     So I just got some new off camera flash triggers and have been dying to try them out on someone. The Brock's said they didn't mind me testing them out on them for our session.  

     The session went great and we had so much fun shooting Rachel's maternity and Oscar's 3 year old pictures.  She is 37 weeks and she said she had Oscar at 38 weeks so she wanted to get in the session before little "sweetums" arrives. 

      We did all the session inside, minus one or two pics outside.  It has been pretty cold lately, so we wanted to keep most of the session indoors. I usually don't feel comfortable shooting session indoors because of the low lighting and I just don't like how most of the photos turn out, but with my new trigger system I think this went pretty well .

The Clay's

These kids are so precious. I have watched them grow and remember when Savannah was just a month old meeting her first the first time. So neat to see Cohen getting so big and developing an adorable sense of humor. He is quite the funny man and loves to make you laugh.  It's amazing how time flies! Now they welcome the newest member of their family in---meet sweet little Caleb.

The Thomas Family

I met Emily from her sister Amanda Lawrence, whose wedding I photographed last year. She contacted me about doing some family pictures with her sweet babies. She just had a baby and he was so tiny. I fell in love with her little baby Corbin.  Here are a few from our session on Friday....

::Tara Staton Workshop::

Last weekend I attended Tara Staton's Workshop. This was my first workshop and I loved it! She is such a talented photographer and had so much knowledge and insight to share with us. I learned so much and am going to start to put that into practice. I have taught myself everything I know about photography and although I have learned a lot over the past couple years from my obsessive googling and youtubing,  there were still some basic things about the business and tips that I still didn't know.  I was grateful to be able to attend and learn some new things I didn't know and also for once to see another photographer in action and see how there process is from start to finish. 
Here are some of my favorite images from the workshop.  I learned some new things in photoshop and wanted to try it out on these photos.  I wanted to add some frames to my photos as well to give them kind of an edge. Still not sure what I think about the frames, but just testing them out.  Let me know what you think of the style of the photos ;)

::The Bartusch Girls::

These girls are just dolls with their blues eyes and adorable personalities! I had so much fun with these two just running around in the "secret garden" and playing hide and seek.  Here's a sneak peak of our session from Monday...

This couple is the cutest! They were so sweet and you could tell there unending love for each through their photos. The leaves were gorgeous and the sunset was just perfect! Here's a few photos from our session a few days ago. A big thanks to Sara Harvey for assisting me!

::Sweet Babies::

These two precious babies were so fun to work with! It was hard to get a bad shot of these gorgeous kiddos with their blond hair and blue eyes.  Connor was making me laugh the whole time. If you told him to give you a big smile, he would start laughing really loud, making me laugh just as hard! And Abbie was just precious; I just wanted to eat her up!
